Welcome to One Search - beta versionWelcome to the beta version of One Search, State Library of Queensland's new search and discovery service. One Search will make it easy to find, share and store what you're looking for. One Search's simple search box delivers results from State Library's wide range of resources; books, maps, music scores and films, as well as information available through databases, e-books, e-journals and free online resources. Recently Picture Queensland images have been added. 'What am I searching?' provides more detail on searching our collections, as well as cross-searches on sets of databases, websites and other online resources. This is the initial release of One Search, and its development is ongoing. Over the next few months we will add new resources and features, as well as refine the look and feel. Please help us make the new service better by telling us what works and what can be improved. Find: Search for books, images, articles, videos, e-books, and more from the one location. Search multiple databases and websites at the same time. Limit: Refine your results in any number of ways: by topic, author, publication date, library, collection, language, and genre. Access: See full text availability of online articles straight away with access just a few clicks away. Share: Tag any record with your own keywords. Add your own review or comments to any record. Store: Save your favourite records or searches to use again later. Save records to your favorite bookmark site, such as del.icio.us or Reddit. This beta version of One Search is undergoing continual development. At times, service may be interrupted and functionality across multiple browsers and versions cannot be guaranteed. Coming soon: More of the State Library's digital collections, including Music Queensland and Queensland stories, will be available through One Search in 2009. |
